Who Is the Mysterious Man Found Dead in Whitehill Rd Unit?

The grisly discovery of a man’s remains in a Whitehill Rd unit on September 27, 2020, has left police baffled. Despite extensive investigations, his identity and cause of death remain a mystery.

Forensics Reveal Clues to His Past

Forensic experts believe the man was at least 35 years old, likely older, slim, and about 5ft 8ins tall. Notably, he had lost several teeth and bore a surgical plate on his left ankle, implanted between late 1998 and early 1999.

The plate’s batch number points to UK hospitals in Fife, Sheffield, or Ashford, Kent—areas where such plates were supplied in December 1998. Police think he may have had surgery in one of these regions.

Police Plea: Recognise This Man?

Missing person reports across the UK have been checked and enquiries made with Health Authorities about the surgical plate without success so far,” said Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Houliston, leading the probe.

“The Face Lab at Liverpool John Moores University has created a facial reconstruction based on the remains. We urge the public to examine the image and come forward if they recognise him. We want to reunite him with his family and uncover what happened.”
