Burglary Busted! Man Caught Red-Handed Breaking Into Home at Dawn

Early Morning Break-In

Police rushed to Victoria Drive at 4.50am on 3 November after reports of a man breaking into a property. Officers arrived fast and arrested the suspect on site.

Shattered Window and Stolen Bank Card

A window pane near the front door was smashed to gain entry. The culprit, Paul Tully, 37, from Ash Grove, Bognor Regis, later pleaded guilty—not just to the burglary but also to fraud. He was caught using a bank card that wasn’t his at a local supermarket.

Jail Time for Criminal Double Whammy

Tully scored a hefty 36-month prison sentence at Portsmouth Crown Court on 2 December.

Detective Sergeant Ali Hutchings said: “This outcome was the result of a big team effort across our local CID and Response teams, resulting in another burglar being brought to justice.”
