Armed Police Arrest Man After Standoff in SE1
Police were called to Great Dover Street, SE1 at 2.10pm on Saturday, 2 January, after a man refused to leave his property.
Standoff Lasted Hours Before Arrest
Armed response officers arrived and spoke with the man, but he refused to cooperate. It wasn’t until 10.10pm that officers entered the property and detained him safely.
Suspect Held on Serious Charges
The man was arrested on suspicion of affray and making threats to commit criminal damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
