Shocking Attack on 70-Year-Old Electric Biker in Broad Daylight
A 70-year-old man was violently shoved off his electric bike by two moped riders on Houghton Road last Sunday, January 10, at around 11:50am. The assault left him with a nasty head injury after he hit the pavement.
Thieves Make Off with Electric Bike
The two unknown men pushed the victim to the roadside before speeding off on their moped, dragging the stolen bike behind them towards Todwick Road.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Officers are urgently seeking anyone who saw the attack or who may have captured the ride on dash cams or CCTV. They’re also eager to hear from anyone spotting the missing bike — a distinctive white Trek Powerfly 5 electric mountain bike, model 2021.
Anyone with information is urged to call 101 quoting incident number 357 of 10 January.
