Fifteen Fined £200 Each After Lockdown Party Busted in Amesbury

Fifteen men caught partying in breach of Covid-19 rules have each been slapped with £200 fines. Police swooped on a business premises in Amesbury last night after a tip-off about lockdown breaches.

Police Crackdown at Bence Court Business

Officers arrived at around 10pm on 22nd March to find a private gathering in full swing at Bence Court. All 15 men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were promptly issued fixed penalty notices.

Inspector Warns: Lockdown Rules Still Firm

“This shows that when we receive information from the public about lockdown breaches, we will make enquiries and take enforcement action when appropriate,” said Inspector Pete Sparrow.

He added: “Some might think restrictions are easing as cases fall, but the national lockdown is still in place. These gatherings risk public health and won’t be tolerated.”
