A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail.
A 41-year-old man was arrested after 66-year-old Elsie Pinder died following a fire in Southchurch Road, Southend, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He has also been further arrested for arson with intent.
He has been bailed until 5 August.
