Man in His 40s Murdered in East London Attack

Police were scrambled just before midnight on Friday, 23 July after London Ambulance Service reported a man found injured near the junction of Goresbrook Road and Treswell Road. The victim, believed to be in his 40s, had been assaulted.

Despite desperate efforts by emergency crews, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are now working to identify his next of kin. A post-mortem will be arranged soon.

Suspect Arrested at Scene

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and remains in custody. Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime unit are leading the investigation.

Ongoing Inquiry as Crime Scene Remains

Police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal assault. A crime scene is still in place, with enquiries ongoing.
