Three Arrested After Child’s Body Found in Bridgend
The body of a young child was recovered from the Ogmore River near Pandy Park, Bridgend, in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police were called after a report of a missing child. South Wales Police confirmed that a 39-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman, and a 13-year-old boy—all from Bridgend—are now in custody linked to the death.
Investigation Underway, Police Seek Witnesses
Officers say no one else is being sought in connection with the incident. An active investigation is ongoing, as police urge anyone present near the river around 5:45am BST on Saturday to come forward with information about how the child ended up in the water.

“This is a tragic incident in which a young child has sadly lost their life,” said Chief Inspector Geraint White.
“We appeal to anyone who witnessed anything or has information to contact us. We ask the public to avoid speculation on social media during this sensitive investigation. Our thoughts are with the family, whom we are supporting fully.”
