A man has been rushed to hospital after the fourth stabbing in just one week in Catford, sparking fears over escalating knife crime in the area.

Another Bloody Night on Winslade Way

Chaos erupted on Tuesday evening as emergency services were called to Winslade Way, near the Iceland store in Catford Mews, at around 7.30pm. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before rushing him to a major trauma centre “as a priority.” The man’s condition remains unknown.

Police Seal Off Scene Outside Catford Iceland

Following the stabbing, police set up a cordon around the Iceland store. This marks the fourth stabbing in Catford in just seven days, with three previous attacks since October 15. The violence has rocked the community, coming just days after a fatal stabbing on nearby Rushey Green.

Official Response to Rising Violence

“We were called at 7.35pm yesterday (21 October) to reports of a stabbing in Winslade Way, SE6. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a member of our Tactical Response Unit to the scene,” a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said. “We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for updates and details on arrests.
