Young Woman Murdered in Kettering Shock
Detectives have named the woman found dead in Kettering as Maddie Durdant-Hollamby, 22, and are now treating her death as murder. The grim discovery was made at a Slate Drive home on Friday, August 27, after police responded to concerns for her welfare.
A man’s body was also found at the scene. Police have launched a major investigation but revealed no arrests have been made. They are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the case.
Family Mourns ‘Beautiful Daughter’ Taken Too Soon
Maddie’s heartbroken family shared a moving tribute through Northamptonshire Police. They described her as “a beautiful person inside and out” who “loved spending time with family and friends.” A talented dancer and marketing professional, Maddie’s bright future was cruelly cut short.
“We are absolutely devastated at the loss of Maddie, our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter and niece,” the family said. “Our hearts are broken. The shock and pain we are feeling is indescribable.”
Police Appeal for Information
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Nicole Main said:
“This case is exceptionally tragic. We have found no known background of domestic abuse, but urge anyone with information to come forward.”
“Our thoughts are with the families at this incredibly difficult time, and we ask the media respect their privacy.”
The man’s identity will be confirmed later this week once formal identification is complete.
