Hit-and-Run Shocks Sandgate Road: Woman in 70s Injured

A woman in her 70s was rushed to hospital after a hit-and-run on Sandgate Road last Monday morning. The victim was crossing near the junction with Cheriton Place between 10am and 10.50am when she was struck by a small car.

Grey, Silver or Light Blue Car Flees the Scene

The vehicle, described as grey, silver, or light blue, did not stop after the collision. Police believe the driver may hold crucial information and are urging witnesses to come forward.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

“We are making enquiries to identify the driver and are appealing for anybody who saw the incident, or has information that may assist our investigation, to call us,” said investigating officer PC Emma Todd.

“Any drivers who were in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage are also asked to contact the appeal line.”
