Teen Stabbed After Mugging in Broad Daylight
A 19-year-old was attacked and stabbed in a shocking late-night assault on Saturday, 6 November 2021. The victim was first targeted outside a shop at the junction of Magpie Hall Road and Shipwrights Avenue around 10pm.
Group of Teens Steal, Then Attack
A gang of six to seven youths approached the victim, stealing his belongings and violently kicking and punching him. They then fled into a nearby dead-end avenue lined with garages opposite the shop.
Second Encounter Ends in Stabbing
Moments later, the victim and a relative crossed paths with the same group near Castle Road and Listmas Road. During this encounter, one suspect allegedly stabbed the teenager in the stomach.
The victim was rushed to hospital and remains in serious but stable condition. The relative sustained a facial injury but has since been discharged.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV
Kent Police have launched house-to-house inquiries and are hunting for any CCTV footage from the area. Residents and drivers are urged to check home security cameras and dashcams for potential evidence.
The main suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, with short afro hair, around 5ft 6ins tall, and believed to be in his late teens.
