Chaos on M25 as Pedestrian Injury Brings Traffic to a Halt

Air Ambulance Lands Amid Full Lane Closures
Kent Police, paramedics, and the Kent, Sussex, and Surrey Air Ambulance rushed to the scene on the hard shoulder of the five-lane motorway. All lanes were briefly closed to allow the air ambulance to land safely. The injured pedestrian received treatment at the scene before being airlifted to a London hospital.
Traffic Nightmare: 4.5 Miles of Tailbacks
National Highways confirmed emergency services, including Kent Police and Traffic Officers, are managing the scene. Due to ongoing roadworks on the A25 strategic diversion route, traffic is being sent through local roads instead.
- Current congestion stretches 4.5 miles.
- Drivers face delays of 30 minutes above normal travel times.
- The anti-clockwise carriageway between junctions 6 and 5 remains closed.
- Delays are also affecting the clockwise carriageway.
