Drug-Drive Rebel Banned for 5 Years and Jailed

Connor Crane, 28, from South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, has been handed a tough sentence after a string of driving offences.

High on Drugs and Behind the Wheel

On 11 January 2022, Margate Magistrates’ Court sentenced Crane after he admitted to:

  • Driving over the legal drug-drive limit
  • Driving while disqualified
  • Driving without insurance
  • Triggering a suspended sentence from a 2020 Ashford offence

When stopped, Crane tested positive for 215 microgrammes of drugs per litre of blood. The legal limit is just 50 microgrammes.

Heavy Penalties to Match Serious Crimes

Crane was jailed for 16 weeks and slapped with a 60-month driving ban. He also faces a £128 court surcharge.
