Maidstone Man Caught with Shocking Drug Levels Behind the Wheel

Jason Burr, 51, from Oaktree Avenue, Maidstone, was slammed with court penalties after admitting to driving over the legal drug limit and without insurance.

On 7 September 2021, Burr was stopped and tested. His blood showed a staggering 713 microgrammes of Benzoylecgonine per litre — the legal limit is just 50. He also registered 26 microgrammes of another drug, well over the 10 microgramme limit.

  • £400 fine
  • £120 court surcharge
  • £160 costs

The sentence was handed down on 14 February 2022 at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court. Burr’s reckless behaviour could have cost lives.
