Crime Squad Snaps Up Kent’s Worst Villains

Since February 2019, the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad has been putting Kent’s most dangerous criminals behind bars. Armed robbers, car thieves, ram-raiders, and burglary gangs have all felt the full force of the law thanks to this hard-hitting team.

Impressive Prison Time Rack-Up

In just the past year, the squad has locked up offenders for a staggering 405 years. They’ve executed 140 warrants, arrested 240 individuals, and issued 535 charges. Since their launch, these figures soar even higher: 1,318 years of jail sentences handed down, 850 arrests made, 428 warrants carried out, and 2,415 charges issued.

“You only need to look at the results we are achieving to see we are doing just that,” said Detective Superintendent Shaun White, who leads the squad. “More than 1,300 years in prison sentences and close to 2,500 charges is a testament to the outstanding expertise of my officers – they have undoubtedly made the county safer.”
