Train Driver Left Terrified After Brick Attack on Northern Railway
A Northern Railway train driver is pleading for help after a terrifying attack left him fearing for his life. Mr Birch revealed how a brick was thrown at him while he was behind the controls, risking serious injury or worse.
“I Could Have Been Blinded or Killed”
Speaking after the incident, Mr Birch said, “I could have been blinded or even killed.” Despite the danger, he managed to bring the train to a safe stop. He also thanked a doctor on board who provided crucial treatment.
Back at his Blackburn base, Mr Birch issued a stark warning to the culprits. “I want the people who did this to see the impact of their actions. Someone knows who threw that brick and I urge them to come forward to help ensure the person responsible doesn’t have the chance to endanger more lives with their reckless behaviour.”
No Arrests Yet – Police Appeal for Witnesses
So far, no arrests have been made, despite appeals from police. Mr Birch is urging anyone with information to step forward.
