Heroin, Guns and Cash Seized in Major Drug Bust Near Westerham
Police swooped on a suspicious green Subaru early on Saturday, September 24, after a patrolling officer trailed the car to a property near Westerham. The stop quickly escalated into a major drug and weapons haul.
Subaru Leads Cops to Massive Cannabis Stash
The vehicle was followed by a marked police car all the way to Otford Lane, Halstead. A search at the scene uncovered 22 bags of herbal cannabis. The driver was immediately arrested on the spot.
Further Raids Uncover Heroin, Cocaine, and Deadly Weapons
While investigating the suspect, officers raided a house in Brasted Hill. They found two cannabis grow operations plus quantities of heroin and cocaine. Dangerous weapons were also seized, including a knuckle duster and a machete. Police also recovered close to £10,000 in cash.
Suspect Charged with Multiple Offences
George Lisle, 28, with no fixed address, faces serious charges. These include three counts of possessing drugs with intent to supply, producing cannabis, possession of an offensive weapon, and obstructing a police officer. He is also charged with driving without a licence or insurance and failing to present a driving licence.
Lisle appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 26, where he was remanded in custody. His next court date is set for October 24 at Maidstone Crown Court.
