Teen Dies After Taking Tablets at Exeter Nightclub

Tragedy struck at Move nightclub in Exeter just after midnight on Saturday. Paramedics called police around 12:30am over fears for a teenage girl’s health. She was rushed to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital but sadly died shortly after.

Multiple Teens Took the Same Tablets

Devon and Cornwall Police revealed that a number of teenagers took the same tablets. Several have already come forward admitting drug use. Detectives are urging anyone affected or with information to step forward.

“We have seen time and time again that these substances can kill,” said Detective Chief Inspector Lee Nattrass. “And we have another tragic case on our hands.”

Det Insp Nattrass added: “You have no idea what these tablets contain or how your body will react. It can be fatal. I urge anyone thinking about taking drugs to think twice and reconsider.”
