Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run in South London
Police are hunting for witnesses after a woman was badly hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Carshalton, south London.
Crash on Wrythe Lane
The smash happened just before 8pm on Wednesday, 1 December near the junction of Wrythe Lane and Surrey Grove. A dark-coloured SUV reportedly hit a woman in her 50s, then sped off towards Rose Hill without stopping.
Victim in Critical Condition
Emergency services raced to the scene. The woman was rushed to hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition. Police have informed her family and are offering support.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They urge anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward.
