Man Stabbed Multiple Times in Ilford – Police and Air Ambulance Rush to Scene
Chaos erupted on Longbridge Road, Ilford, just after 9pm on Wednesday, 7 December, when police were called to reports of a stabbing at the junction with Sandhurst Drive.
Officers were quick to act, providing first aid to the male victim who had been stabbed several times. Ambulance crews and doctors from the 1 also rushed to the scene. Medical equipment was left scattered at the front of a nearby bus, highlighting the emergency response.
Victim Rushed to Royal London Major Trauma Unit
The injured man, in his 20s, was rushed to the Royal London Hospital’s major trauma unit. A huge crime scene remains active, blocking Longbridge Road in both directions. Several London buses, including routes 5, 145, EL2, EL3, and N15, are stuck or forced to take revised routes due to road closures.
Police Update: Victim Assaulted by Two Men Near Lovelace Gardens
A Met Police spokesman confirmed:
“Officers were called at 8:48pm on Wednesday, 10 December, after a man was found injured in Longbridge Road, Barking. The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his chest. His condition was assessed as not life-threatening.”
“Initial enquiries suggest the man was attacked by at least two men near Lovelace Gardens shortly before being found.”
