Two Pride Flag Attacks Spark Police Probe in Millgreen Road
Trouble flared twice in just a week at the same Millgreen Road address, as Pride flags faced vandalism and attempted removal.
First Attack: Flag Torn Down and Ruined
On Friday, June 30, between 10:15pm and 10:50pm, two young men reportedly pulled down a Pride flag, damaging it beyond repair.
Second Attempt: Teens Confronted and Scattered
Just days later, on Tuesday, July 4 around 5:40pm, a group of teenagers tried to snatch the same Pride flag. The flag’s owner confronted the group, who then fled after shouting abuse.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Officers have conducted house-to-house inquiries but need the public’s help to crack the case.
