Trump called out Special Counsel Jack Smith, accusing him of running a political witch hunt. “Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter… stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6 Grand Jury investigation,” Trump posted.
He slammed the tight deadline given — just four days to appear before a grand jury — which he said signals an imminent arrest and indictment.
Trump Claims Political Witch Hunt Ahead of 2024 Race
Currently the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, Trump insisted the probe is a politically motivated attempt to derail his campaign. He warned it’s the “politicisation of law enforcement” designed to meddle in the election process.
