Knife Horror in Basingstoke: Man Arrested After Brutal Stabbing
A 28-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a savage stabbing in the early hours of Tuesday, July 18.
Young Victim Left with Multiple Stab Wounds
The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered multiple stab wounds to his legs during the attack on Queen Mary Avenue, shortly after 1am. Emergency services rushed him to hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Three Others Questioned, One Still in Custody
- A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both also from Basingstoke, were initially arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. They have since been released without charge.
- A 54-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He remains in police custody.
