Paedophile Kevin Brock Jailed for Over 30 Years

A “persistent, predatory and highly manipulative paedophile” has been locked up for more than three decades after a string of horrifying offences. Kevin Brock, 28, from Cam Causeway, Cambridge, exploited young girls by luring them through social media before subjecting them to rape, sexual assault, and exploitation.

Disturbing Abuse Brought to Light by Family Member

The sickening crimes only surfaced in December 2021, when a family member found incriminating messages on one of the victim’s devices. Police launched a probe that uncovered Brock’s chilling pattern of manipulation and abuse targeting vulnerable girls.

  • Two victims were under 13 years old.
  • Brock raped one girl on three separate occasions.
  • He sexually assaulted another repeatedly over years, some abuse filmed.
  • He tricked dozens of girls into sending explicit images, promising more social media followers.

Denial and Damning Evidence

Brock refused to admit guilt at arrest and during police interviews, despite overwhelming evidence. Officers found indecent images and videos of children at his home, including footage of his assaults.

Judge Condemns Brock’s ‘Appalling’ Crimes

At Peterborough Crown Court, Brock was sentenced to 32 years for rape, sexual communication with a child, sexual assault, and possession and creation of indecent images. Judge Rupert Lowe branded him a “persistent, predatory and highly manipulative paedophile” with a “deep-rooted” sexual interest in young girls.

“His abuse was in the most appalling way,” the judge said, stressing the devastating impact on the victims.

Police Warn Parents About Online Dangers

Detective Constable Charlie Mitton from the Child Abuse Investigation and Safeguarding Unit (CAISU) praised the bravery of Brock’s victims for speaking out. She urged parents to keep talking to children about online safety and remain vigilant.

“Predators like Brock use manipulative tactics on social media to exploit vulnerable children,” DC Mitton said.
