Tragic Bus Crash in West Midlands
A man has died after being hit by a bus on Tennyson Street at 4.34pm yesterday.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
West Midlands Ambulance Service scrambled two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a HART paramedic, and a MERIT trauma doctor to the accident site.
Bystander Tried to Save Man’s Life
On arrival, crews found a man in critical condition, receiving life support from a quick-thinking woman who witnessed the crash.
“Ambulance staff immediately began advanced life support but, despite everyone’s efforts, nothing could be done to save the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene,” said a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman.
The woman bystander was treated for minor injuries and taken to Russell’s Hall Hospital.
