Seven-Year-Old Girl Fighting for Life After Camden Funeral Shooting

Police are hunting witnesses after a shocking shooting in Camden left a seven-year-old girl in a life-threatening condition. The brutal attack happened during a church funeral service on Phoenix Road, NW1, just after 1.30pm on Saturday, 14 January.

Multiple Victims in Daylight Attack

Officers rushed to the scene alongside London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance crews. Four women aged between 41 and 54 were shot, with the 48-year-old suffering potentially life-changing injuries. A 21-year-old woman is also in hospital, but her condition remains unclear.

Two children were caught up in the chaos. The seven-year-old remains critically ill in hospital. Meanwhile, a 12-year-old girl sustained a minor leg injury and has since been discharged.

Shooting From Moving Vehicle Sparks Panic

Early police investigations suggest the shots were fired from a moving car that sped away after the attack. No arrests have been made yet, but the police say they are working fast to track down those responsible.

Superintendent Ed Wells said: “Any shooting is unacceptable, but for multiple people, including two children, to be caught up in this on a Saturday afternoon is especially shocking. Our thoughts are with all the victims, particularly the seven-year-old girl and her family.

“We’re fully committed to finding and bringing the perpetrators to justice. Expect to see a much stronger police presence in Camden over the coming days as the investigation continues.”
