Black substance spotted draining onto Eastbourne beach

A back substance was spotted draining from an overflow pipe on the western end of Eastbourne Beach at the Meads

A spokesperson for Eastbourne Council said spokesman said: “ESFRS dealt with a car fire on King Edward’s Parade and the water used to extinguish the flames and dampen the charred vehicle remains during that incident, has passed through the roadside drainage system.”
