Two Charged After Shocking Hardres Road Robbery

Man Ambushed While Carrying Groceries

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, at around 7:15 p.m., a man in his thirties was walking along Hardres Road near St Luke’s Avenue when disaster struck. He was carrying a bag of groceries when two attackers approached him. They pulled his coat hood over his head before launching a brutal assault, stealing a large sum of cash and his shopping bag.

Police Step Up Investigation

Authorities have since charged two suspects in connection with the robbery. Paul Jackson, 35, from Clements Road, Ramsgate, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on February 18 and has been remanded. He is due back at Canterbury Crown Court on March 20.

Rosie Richards, 29, of Thanet Road, Ramsgate, was released on bail and must appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on April 27.
