17-Year-Old Boy Dies in Horror Crash in Warlingham Village

Tragic Single-Car Smash in Early Hours

A 17-year-old boy lost his life in a tragic single-vehicle crash on Warlingham’s Westhall Road just after 2.30am on Monday morning. The grey Honda Civic he was a passenger in smashed into a tree near the B270 junction, leaving emergency crews scrambling to the scene.

Despite desperate efforts, paramedics pronounced the teenager dead at the scene. The driver, an 18-year-old man, was rushed to hospital with injuries that, thankfully, are not life-threatening.

Road Closed as Police Investigate

Westhall Road was shut in both directions for hours as police combed the area and conducted door-to-door enquiries. Traffic was diverted while officers pieced together the moments leading up to the fatal collision.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Surrey Police have launched a full investigation and are urgently asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage of the vehicle before the collision to come forward.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has any dashcam footage of the vehicle prior to the incident, to contact us as soon as possible,” said a Surrey Police spokesperson.

“The family of the young man who sadly lost his life are being supported by specialist officers, and we ask that their privacy is respected during this devastating time.”

If you have any information, call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference PR/SYP-20250805-0067, or submit dashcam footage via their website.

Road Safety Concerns Raised After Second Fatal Crash

This devastating smash has reignited local worries about road safety on Surrey’s rural lanes, especially after dark. Councillors are calling for a review of speed limits and better signage in high-risk spots.

Shockingly, this is the second fatal collision in the Warlingham area within 12 months, highlighting an urgent need for action to protect residents and drivers alike.
