Four Hurt in Horror Car-Lorry Smash on M5 at Uffdown
At 12.16 a.m., emergency services rushed to a serious collision on the M5 at junction 4 North near Uffdown and Waseley. A car smashed into a lorry, leaving multiple people injured.
Massive Emergency Response to M5 Crash
The West Midlands Ambulance Service deployed a massive team: four ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, a critical care paramedic, a BASICS emergency doctor, plus critical care cars from both the Air Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance.
Three Seriously Injured, One Minor in Car
A West Midlands spokeswoman revealed the frightening scene at the crash site.
“We found four patients in the car. The driver, a man, and two female passengers were seriously injured. Ambulance staff gave them advanced trauma care on the spot.”
“All three were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital under blue lights for urgent treatment.”
“A third passenger suffered minor injuries. She was treated at the scene and taken to Sandwell District Hospital for further checks.”
“The lorry driver escaped unscathed and did not require treatment.”
