Murder probe launched after woman dies in Southwark and man found dead in EC4.
Disturbance Sparks Deadly Double
Police rushed to a block of flats on Elephant Road, SE17 at 3.56pm on Thursday, 6 April following reports of a disturbance. Officers, the London Air Ambulance, and medics attended the scene.
Despite desperate efforts from passersby and emergency teams, a 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Victims Known to Each Other
Both the woman who died in Southwark and the man in EC4 were known to each other, police confirmed. No further suspects are sought at this time.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Mike Nolan, Met’s Specialist Crime Command: “Local people will be shocked by this tragic incident. While our investigation is at an early stage, we believe no other persons are outstanding in connection to this. I urge anyone with information who hasn’t spoken to us yet to come forward. We thank residents for their patience and cooperation.”
