Teen Hurt in Collision with Black Audi at Zebra Crossing
Police rushed to the scene around 8.30pm on Wednesday, 5 April 2023, after reports of a crash between a bicycle and a black Audi A3 at the zebra crossing on Manor Avenue and Ruskin Drive.
13-Year-Old Boy Taken to Hospital with Head Injury
Emergency services attended promptly. A 13-year-old boy suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Drug Driving
A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. He has been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
PC Matt 1, of GMP’s Road Policing Unit, said: “A boy attended hospital as a result of this collision and we wish him all the best for a full recovery.
“If anyone witnessed this collision or has any dashcam footage please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
