Chilling Murder Confession: Man Admits Killing Friend After Days of Silence

Stachura’s Sickening Crime Revealed

Lukasz Stachura, 41, shocked friends when he confessed to killing Kamil Leszczynski, 33, after they wondered why Kamil hadn’t been in touch. The horrifying murder took place back on June 27, 2021, with Kamil’s body dumped near a farm track off Turvey Road, nestled between Carlton and Turvey villages in Bedfordshire.

Gruesome Details from Court

At Luton Crown Court, chilling evidence came to light. Kamil suffered severe physical abuse at Stachura’s hands. The victim was bound with phone cables and gagged with a makeshift gag — pushed in so violently that it blocked his airway, causing his death.

Judge Lynn Tayton KC revealed bruises all over Kamil’s body from repeated punches and kicks, and also suspects Stachura used a weapon in the attack.

Kamil’s body was found four days later in a ditch by a farmer who alerted the police on July 1. His hands were tied, his body battered.

Damning Evidence and Failed Denials

Despite overwhelming proof, Stachura denied involvement throughout the three-week trial, absurdly claiming his car had been stolen. But CCTV exposed his movements on the day of the murder. Footage showed his red Vauxhall Astra driving around Wellingborough with a passenger matching Kamil’s description.

Later, between 9pm and 11pm, Stachura’s phone was pinged near where Kamil’s body was found, while he exchanged over 50 texts and a 10-minute call with his partner.

Following the murder, CCTV tracked the car driving through nearby villages before breaking down near Desborough. Police found Kamil’s DNA on the car’s passenger door and fibres from the car on his clothes. Stachura’s DNA was found on the gag used to silence Kamil.

Judgment and Tributes

Stachura was today slapped with a life sentence and must serve at least 23 years behind bars before release is even considered. Judge Tayton praised detectives for a “painstaking investigation carried out to the highest standards.”

Detective Inspector Dale Mepstead said: “Stachura showed no remorse and concocted a bizarre story to avoid justice. He is a dangerous man and will be removed from society for the foreseeable future.”

Remembered as a “cheerful and affectionate” man, Kamil was a beloved father, uncle, and brother. His family said: “He was a wonderful person and a wonderful brother… He will be missed by all of his family and friends.”
