Man Stabbed in South Norwood High Street Late Night Attack

A 36-year-old man was stabbed just before 2 a.m. on South Norwood’s High Street, near the junction with Portland Road in Croydon.

Emergency Services Rush Victim to Hospital

Police and London Ambulance Service paramedics rushed to the scene. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries classed as non-life threatening.

Suspect Arrested Over Grievous Bodily Harm

Another 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.

Police Cordons Still in Place

By Saturday, a police cordon was still up around the intersection of South Norwood High Street and Grosvenor Road as officers investigate the stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to High Street, SE25, around 2am on Saturday, 1 April, after reports of a stabbing. A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is still being held by police.”
