Terrier Puppies Dumped in Plastic Bag Near Cross Hands
Two helpless terrier pups were shockingly found abandoned in a plastic carrier bag by the roadside near Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire. The heartless discovery has sparked outrage and a hunt for those responsible.
Startled Driver Hears Crying, Spots Puppies in Hedge
An alert driver spotted the plastic bag tangled in a hedge close to Llyn Llech Owain Country Park, Gorslas. “I heard puppies crying and then saw them stuck inside the bag,” the witness reported. The two five-week-old dogs were alone, scared and shivering.
RSPCA Cymru inspector Keith Hogben revealed: “They were found loosely tied in that plastic bag on Tuesday (April 4). We rushed them to a vet where they are being treated for a skin condition.”
RSPCA Issues Plea as Investigation Underway
“It’s heartbreaking to think these innocent pups were abandoned out in the cold like rubbish,” added Keith. Thanks to the quick thinking stranger who called the RSPCA, the puppies are now safe and progressing well in a loving home. The charity is continuing its probe into the cruel act.

Animal Welfare Charity Warns of Rising Abandonment
Keith Hogben also highlighted a troubling trend: “Sadly, more animals are being abandoned due to owners struggling with costs, behaviour issues, or personal difficulties. But there’s never an excuse to dump a pet like trash. These puppies would have been terrified and freezing.”
