Two Teens Arrested Over Murder of Tyler McDermott

Arrests Made

Tyrese Barnett, 19, who has no fixed address, and Leo Reid, 19, from Tulse Hill, SW2, were arrested on 15 April in connection with the murder of Tyler McDermott.

Serious Charges Laid

The following day, both were charged with murder. Barnett faces further charges including attempted murder of another man and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Reid has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Upcoming Court Appearance

Both suspects are due to appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 17 April.
