Police in Greater Manchester are appealing for witnesses after a serious injury collision took place on Rochdale Road last night, leaving a pedestrian with life-changing injuries.

The incident occurred at approximately 9.25pm when a vehicle collided with a pedestrian, causing significant harm. The driver initially failed to stop at the scene. However, upon receiving the report, law enforcement swiftly located the vehicle parked nearby.

Authorities apprehended a 34-year-old man suspected of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The individual is now in police custody, assisting with the ongoing investigation.

In their efforts to gather more information about the incident, the police are urging any witnesses present at the time or individuals who may have captured the accident on their dash-cams to come forward.
