Two men have been sentenced in connection with the tragic death of Kyron Lee in Slough, following a thorough investigation by Thames Valley Police.
Ahmad Hassan, aged 24, residing at Blackwell Court, Slough, has been sentenced to four years in prison for his involvement in assisting an offender. Additionally, Fuad Nur, aged 27, from Graylands Close, Slough, received a one-year prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. Nur was also ordered to perform 150 hours of unpaid work and pay £2,000 in costs for failing to provide his mobile phone PIN when required.
These sentences were handed down today at Reading Crown Court on October 27, 2023. The court’s decision follows the verdicts reached on September 15, where Hassan was found guilty of one count of assisting an offender, and Nur was found guilty of failing to provide his mobile phone PIN when required. Both verdicts were unanimous.
Notably, during the trial, Hassan was acquitted of two additional counts related to assisting an offender, and Nur was acquitted of one count of assisting an offender.
The tragic incident occurred on October 2, 2022, at approximately 8:50 pm when Thames Valley Police received reports of a male suffering serious injuries in Waterman Court, Cippenham. Responding officers quickly arrived at the scene, where they determined that Kyron Lee, a 21-year-old individual, had been involved in a collision while riding his bicycle and had collided with a car on Earls Lane.
Subsequent to the collision, multiple individuals exited the car and pursued Kyron into Waterman Court, where he suffered a fatal attack. The assailants then fled the scene in their vehicle.
Despite the swift response of paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service, Kyron Lee was tragically pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 9:45 pm.
