Man Dies After Being Pulled From Sea Off Deal Coast

A tragic drama unfolded yesterday as a man was rescued from the sea near Deal but sadly died shortly after. Kent Police confirmed emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of a person struggling in the water.

Rescue Efforts at Walmer Green

The Coastguard and lifeguard teams sprang into action around 11:30 am near Walmer Green, close to Deal. Despite their rapid response and desperate efforts, paramedics were unable to save the man, who was pronounced dead on the shore.

No Suspicious Circumstances, Coroner Involved

A Kent Police spokesperson said:

“We were called by the coastguard just after midday after they recovered a man from the water in Deal. Officers attended, along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the man was pronounced deceased a short while later. His next of kin have been informed.”

The police confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. A report is being prepared for the coroner.
