On Saturday 9 December 2023, the Officers were in the High Street area when they saw a rented Toyota Prius travelling through the village.
They suspected the vehicle’s occupant may be involved in the supply of class A drugs and stopped it for the purpose of a search. A quantity of cash was seized from a wallet and nine bags of cocaine were recovered from the centre console. The driver was arrested and taken into custody.
Blerim Bushgjokaj, of Ringstead Road, Catford, Greater London was later charged by investigators from West Kent CID, with possessing cocaine with intent to supply and driving without insurance. The 23-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 December.
