Police Hunt Hero Witness After Henbury ‘Suspicious Man’ Scare
Avon and Somerset Police are urgently hunting a key witness who stepped in during a troubling incident in Henbury last Wednesday, December 13. A young woman, in her late teens, was approached by a suspicious man in the Satchfield Crescent area between 5 and 5:30 pm.
Bold Intervention from Blonde Woman
The man, driving a red hatchback, is described as bald, large-built, around 6 feet tall, and likely in his 50s or 60s. He wore a navy T-shirt, light blue jeans, black and white Nike trainers, and had a distinctive tattoo of several red and green roses on his left forearm. After being confronted, he sped off towards Dragonswell Road.
Police want to speak to the blonde-haired woman who came to the young woman’s rescue. She’s believed to be in her 30s, sports her hair in a ponytail, and was wearing a professional lanyard. Her quick action helped calm the situation and keep the teenager safe.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers are combing through CCTV footage and carrying out door-to-door enquiries to piece together what happened. The local neighbourhood team is stepping up patrols in the area to keep residents safe.
Avon and Somerset Police are urging the blonde woman and anyone else with information about the incident to get in touch. Witnesses can report details online or call 101, quoting reference number 5223304515.
