In the wake of the shooting that claimed the life of 19-year-old Kevin Potuka in the Page Hall area of Sheffield on December 12, detectives have made a further arrest in their ongoing investigation. Kevin succumbed to a single gunshot wound, as revealed by a post-mortem examination.
On December 31, detectives arrested a 38-year-old Sheffield woman on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been released on police bail pending further inquiries. This recent development brings the total number of arrests related to the investigation to eight.
Six Sheffield men, aged 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 41, had been previously arrested on suspicion of murder and were subsequently released on police bail. Additionally, a 20-year-old woman was arrested earlier in the week for assisting offenders and has also been released on police bail.
