British Transport Police have released images of individuals they believe may hold vital information regarding a brutal assault that occurred outside Birmingham New Street railway station in the early hours of Saturday, December 16.

The victim, who was sitting outside the station at approximately 3.20am, was initially approached by a group of men. One member of this group proceeded to assault the victim for roughly two minutes before they managed to break free. However, the ordeal was far from over. Another man pursued the victim, followed closely by the original group. They subsequently dragged the victim to the ground in the road and continued the assault. Eventually, the group abandoned the scene, leaving the injured victim lying on the street.
