Mystery Deepens as Man Enters Thames, Search Operation Continues

A coordinated search operation was launched by emergency services after receiving reports of a male individual entering the River Thames on the evening of January 20. The incident occurred at Wharf Street, Greenwich, just minutes before 9:45 pm.

Upon receiving the distress call, multiple agencies, including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, and HM Coastguard, rapidly converged on the scene to conduct a thorough search of the area and the river.

Despite their diligent efforts, no individual was located in the water during the extensive search operation.

The Metropolitan Police has since confirmed that inquiries into the circumstances surrounding this incident are still underway. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated the incident: “Police were called at 9.43 pm on Saturday, 20 January to Wharf Street, SE8 to reports of a male had entered the River Thames. Police, London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, and HM Coastguard attended the scene and searched for the male. At the current time, he has not been located. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
