125 Firefighters Battle Intense Blaze in Wembley Block of Flats

A raging fire has broken out in a block of flats on Elm Road, Wembley, with around 125 firefighters and twenty fire engines battling the inferno. The London Fire Brigade responded to the alarming report this afternoon, stating that part of the building’s roof is currently ablaze.

As a precautionary measure, the affected block and nearby buildings have been evacuated. The London Fire Brigade urges people to avoid the area while crews work tirelessly to contain the flames.

The intensity of the fire has prompted the use of advanced firefighting equipment, including one of the Brigade’s 32-meter turntable ladders being employed as a water tower to enhance firefighting efforts.

Control Officers have received eight distress calls reporting the incident, with the first call received at 4.42pm. Firefighters from Wembley, Park Royal, Northolt, and surrounding fire stations have converged at the scene to address the emergency.

As of now, the cause of the blaze remains unknown, leaving authorities and firefighters focused on controlling and extinguishing the fire.
