Police Appeal for Information Following Suspected Arson Incident in Eythorne, Dover

Detectives from Kent Police are seeking assistance from the public as they investigate a suspected arson incident in Eythorne, Dover. Authorities have released an image of a man they believe could provide valuable information regarding the incident.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, around 6:15 AM, when authorities responded to a report of a lit firework being posted through the letterbox of a property located in Adelaide Road. Officers swiftly arrived at the scene, accompanied by personnel from Kent Fire and Rescue Service, who ensured the safety of the resident and his property. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although the firework caused damage to the carpet inside the property.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted into the matter, and detectives are now appealing to the public for any information that could assist in identifying the individual pictured in the released image. The man is believed to have connections to the incident and may hold crucial information relevant to the investigation.
