Elderly Man Murdered in Harold Wood: Family Mourns
Detectives have identified the victim of a brutal murder in Harold Wood as 87-year-old Bernard Fowler from Havering. The shocking killing occurred on February 27, leaving the community reeling.

Police Offer Condolences and Reassure Locals
Detective Chief Inspector Sam Painter, leading the investigation, expressed sympathy for the victim’s loved ones.
“My thoughts are with Bernard’s family and loved ones at this time. His family are currently being supported by specially trained officers,” Painter said.
He stressed the attack was an isolated incident and urged the public not to speculate. We are carrying out high visibility patrols in the area and working closely with Metropolitan Police to provide visible reassurance,” Painter added.
Man Charged: Old Bailey Hearing Set
Miles Skai, 22, from Brent Cross in Hendon, has been charged with Bernard Fowler’s murder. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, March 1.
