In the early hours of Wednesday 17 April 2024, a burglary was reported in Hall Road where electrical items were stolen along with children’s passports.
Shortly after this a house in nearby Joyce Green Lane was broken into where a car was stolen along with a laptop and cash.
Officers attended and a man was arrested at around 11am. Items from the first burglary were also recovered and returned to the victim.
Following enquiries Sam Hawkins, 37, of Pembroke Road, Erith, was charged with two counts of burglary. He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 18 April.
