A stabbing incident in Croydon yesterday evening has prompted police to cordon off two areas in the vicinity. The scenes of the incident are within the Centrale Shopping Centre and on North End near West Croydon station.

At approximately 5:20 pm on Monday, May 13, officers responded to reports of a stabbing on North End. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with a stab wound to his leg.

Photos captured at the scene depict police cars cordoning off the areas, including one section within the shopping centre.

According to a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police, “Police were called to North End, Croydon at about 5:20 pm on Monday, May 13, following reports of a stabbing. Officers and LAS attended and found a man suffering with a stab wound to the leg.”

The injured man was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment, where he remains under medical care. Fortunately, his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

In a surprising turn of events, the injured individual has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and handling stolen goods.

Authorities have since closed the crime scenes, with investigations now being led by South Area CID.

The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for additional details regarding the incident.
